Simple French Paleo: Presentation & Giveaway!

January 19, 2017 By zestypaleo 33 Comments

Simple French Paleo Cookbook

Oh oui, Oh oui: c’est le Simple French Paleo! (Oh yes, oh yes: it is the Simple French Paleo!) I am very excited about this book, so needed for the AIP followers in France! Being a resident of Canada and France, I can attest to the fact that the autoimmune movement in France is still at the very beginning, if any. Therefore, resources like Simple French Paleo, written by Sophie Van Tiggelen, will hopefully start the things moving.

In spite of the fact that French cuisine is very versatile and delicious, French people tend to eat way too many grains (including gluten!) and dairy. Luckily, there are also many naturally grain and dairy free meals that can be enjoyed in France and Sophie, through her book demonstrates that you can eat that you love and love that you eat!

Moreover, Simple French Paleo is the great resource for people thinking of starting the autoimmune protocol, because Sophie describes the basics of the AIP, including foods to avoid, foods to include and foods to consume with moderation. There are chapters on the elimination, reintroduction and maintenance phases of the diet. In all, with the help of this book you will be able to jump start on the autoimmune protocol while eating delicious meals!

I love the way Simple French Paleo is designed, it makes me wish to have a hard copy of the book! Sophie managed to create a strong French feeling to it: all the little details were carefully considered, including choice of colors, fonts and symbols. Besides, Sophie features beautiful photography of French countryside in her book. There is no doubt that France is a beautiful country and through Simple French Paleo you will be able to sneak-peek into Provence, one of the most beautiful French regions. And speaking of the recipes: they are easy to prepare and flavorful!

Being French myself (through naturalization) I recognize so many dishes I love, many of them already being AIP-ized! Some of my favorites from the book are French Onion Soup, French Crepes, No Nightshade Ratatouille, Tarragon Provencal Chicken… Just thinking of these makes my mouth water! Let us have a look at the very classic French dish, Ratatoulle, rendered nightshade-free and AIP-friendly by Sophie.

ENTER THE GIVEAWAY! You have the chance to win a pdf copy of Simple French Paleo by leaving a comment below. The giveaway is open to anyone in the world and 3 lucky winners will be chosen at random and announced on January 26th.

Good luck, everyone!

With an autoimmune diagnosis I’m going down this new rabbit trail…. It’s a bit daunting to say the least, but watching our self talk and choosing to see it as a challenge that God knows I can do! Focus on those things you CAN do, not on those you can’t!!! ❤️
